- Lorentz's Law yields that the force on a moving charge due to a magnetic field is:
F=qV*B*sin(theta) MKS system of units q Columbs V meters/second B Amperes/meters theta angle between V & B F is directed according to the right hand rule. All dynamic loudspeakers follow this rule. At CGN, we know our history, which is why we honor this great Nobel Prize winning, Dutch scientist today. Introducing the Push Pull Neo Lorentz Audio Line of Ribbon Loudspeakers.
In the case of dynamic Neo woofers we take a different approach to motor design. Use of a "Radially Magnitized" Neodymium Ring Magnet allows the loudspeaker to have High Excursion & Low Distortion with no stray magnetic flux outside of the steel pot structure. It is an extremely efficient way to utilize all the potential Neo strength, and allows good heat dissipation with all the advantages of light weight design. - CGN audio labs, 27 N.
